Captain Jean-Luc Picard is the Next Star Trek Select Figure from DST

May 2013 - Star Trek Select Kirk and Spock are on their way to U.S. shores, and fans are already looking beyond them to see who will follow in their footsteps. Well, Diamond Select Toys has unveiled the next Select, and it's the captain of the U.S.S. Enterprise D and E, Jean-Luc Picard! Wearing his classic TV outfit, Picard has been captured in the middle of a previously unseen engagement with the Borg, firing his phaser aboard a Borg ship, with a fallen foe at his feet. The figure will feature limited articulation and a detailed likeness by Patrick Piggott (prototype shown), and will come in shelf-ready Select display packaging. First up is a limited variation on the U.S.S. Enterprise E – the First Contact edition! With a new, detailed paint scheme based on Star Trek: First Contact, this new E is visually distinctive from the previous edition, which was based on its appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis. With the same great lights and sounds as the previous E, it will be a striking addition to any fan's collection, and will be ready to ship this summer.

The Voyage Continues With Star Trek Legacy Minimates!

May 2013 - Anticipation for the newest Star Trek film invariably leads us to think about the legacy it is a part of. All of the Star Trek films, TV series and other stories that have ever been told in the Star Trek universe have led us to this moment. So what better way to celebrate the legacy of Star Trek than with a toy line that touches on all eras of the franchise?

In June, the first series of Star Trek Legacy Minimates will hit stores, and no matter what era of Trek you hold most dear, there is a two-pack of 2-inch mini-figures just for you. Two separate assortments will be available, each with different uniforms, characters and species, not to mention a shipload of weapons and accessories.

May 2013 - The Star Trek Select line is almost upon us! The new series will feature the first new 7" Star Trek figures to come out of Diamond Select Toys in quite some time, and we're pretty excited about it. With detailed sculpting by Patrick Piggott, each figure comes with multiple interchangeable parts and a deluxe diorama base, as well as a second, non-poseable figure to interact with! And now we have packaging pics!

Mr. Spock is captured as he appears in the classic episode "Devil in the Dark," with a cave diorama and a Horta alien -- the first Horta toy ever made! Spock himself will have interchangeable legs for standing or crouching poses, and interchangeable hands to hold a phaser or tricorder or establish a mental link with the Horta. He even comes with an alternate grimacing head!
