A New Star Wars Droid Vinyl Bank is Coming to Comic-Con 2013!

June 2013 - The team at Diamond Select Toys loves Star Wars, and they love droids, which is why they've made a few different droids in their line of vinyl Star Wars banks. R2-D2, R2-R9 and R2-Q5 have all made their way into collectors' hands, and now there's a new droid headed to San Diego!

This year's Comic-Con International exclusive Star Wars bank is R2-B1, one of the astromech droids assigned to the Royal Shuttle of Naboo, and tragically lost while making repairs during a battle. The 10-inch vinyl bank has a coin slot on the back for inserting change and an access door on the bottom. Sculpted in 1:4 scale, R2-B1 is in scale to DST's Yoda bank, Jawa bank, and all of their Ultimate Quarter Scale action figures.

Marvel Minimates Wolverine Saga Box Set to be Unleashed at SDCC!

June 2013 - Ever since it made its debut at New York Comic-Con, fans of Wolverine, Minimates and Wolverine Minimates have been clamoring for Diamond Select's Logan-tastic Marvel Minimates box set. With four different Wolverines in it, how could you go wrong? Well, DST recently announced that it will be this year's Marvel exclusive at Comic-Con International in San Diego, just in time for the new The Wolverine movie!

Now titled "Wolverine Saga," the box set includes four different Minimates spotlighting different moments in Wolverine's life. Symbiote Wolverine depicts the New Avenger when he was possessed by a Venom clone, Spacesuit Wolverine shows him in his frequently utilized space armor, Ultimate Wolverine is his well-known Ultimate Universe counterpart and Logan-san in Japanese Robes shows him circa his engagement to Mariko Yashida.

Marvel Select Silver Surfer Soars Into the Third Dimension!

June 2013 - You may have seen the design sheet from the New York Toy Fair, but Diamond Select Toys has finally unveiled the fully sculpted Silver Surfer action figure! Sculpted by Sam Greenwell based on his classic look, the Surfer stands approximately 7 inches tall and is due in stores this winter.

For a base, the Surfer comes with a rocky planetary surface, with his ever-present surfboard supported by a winding energy trail. The board is removable from the base, and the Surfer can stand on the base with it as well as ride it. Additional accessories include energy blasts for his hands as well as the fabled Infinity Gauntlet.

Comic-Con International to Offer Exclusive Walking Dead Minimates Set!

June 2013 - At Comic-Con International in 2012, Diamond Select Toys released the first two-pack from their line of The Walking Dead Minimates, based on the best-selling Skybound comic book by Robert Kirkman. The two-pack quickly sold out, and DST swore to top themselves in 2013. Now, with the third full series of The Walking Dead Minimates in stores, DST and Skybound are proud to announce a new exclusive four-pack for this year's Comic-Con!

The First Lost in Space Minimates are Exclusively at Comic-Con International!

June 2013 - Diamond Select Toys announced their new line of Minimates based on the classic TV show Lost in Space at this year's New York Toy Fair, and now they're announcing where the first set will be available: this year's San Diego Comic-Con!

The Comic-Con exclusive Lost in Space Minimates two-pack includes Dr. Zachary Smith and the robot B-9 in glorious black-and-white, just like the original TV show. Each Minimate mini-figure stands approximately 2 inches tall, with interchangeable parts and accessories, including a laser pistol and two additional Dr. Smith heads that capture his wide array of facial expressions. They will come packaged on a full-color blister card.

June 2013 - When a new Minimates toy line is born, it's a special time for everybody. So Diamond Select Toys is going to give birth at the most special time of all! A new line of Minimates is debuting at this year's Comic-Con International in San Diego, and it's from the cinematic world of Kevin Smith!

The first exclusive two-pack includes Jay and Silent Bob in black-and-white, just as they appeared in Smith's groundbreaking debut film, Clerks. Future sets will be in black and white as well as full-color, and will be based on all of the View Askew universe films: Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks 2 and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back! The Walking Dead Minimates Series 3 is Breaking Out in New Photos!

June 2013 - This week sees the release of The Walking Dead Series 3 Minimates at comic shops and specialty stores, and they're all from the famous prison story arc of the hit comic book by Robert Kirkman!

Rick, Hershel and Dexter face off against a trio of zombies in three different two-packs, and be on the lookout for a short-packed Battle-Damaged Tyreese! Hershel and Tyreese (both with Farmer Zombie) are exclusively at comic shops and specialty stores, while Rick and Dexter (with Guard and Dreadlock Zombies) are shared with Toys "R" Us stores. Two additional sets, Glenn and Carol (with Vest and Pole Zombies), are exclusively at Toys "R" Us.

The Walking Dead Minimates Come to Life in a New Short Film

June 2013 - The third series of The Walking Dead Minimates hits comic shops and specialty stores on June 12th, and has already been spotted at Toys "R" Us. To commemorate the occasion, Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum have put together a short film starring all of the TWD Minimates to date, and it's not for the faint of heart!

With photography and editing by Alex Kropinak (Marvel's What the...?!), a voiceover by Chris Ward (the band Acorns to Oaks) and music by Matt Takacs, the film draws on Rick's famous speech from the prison arc of the groundbreaking comic book, setting it to some of the most horrifying Minimates images you have ever seen.
