------ Welcome to RTMemo ------

Welcome to another Monday and to another issue of RTMemo! There's a bit more to cover in this issue than last time, so we'll spare you the haiku this time and get right to it, starting with Iron Man...

------ Featured This Week ------

Iron Man Archive
RTM, in association with the Toy Otter, is proud to present the Iron Man Archive! The Archive has detailed information and pictures of Iron Man action figures and even includes the history of his armor worn in the comic books.

Super Powers Quadrex
Who was Quadrex? Why was Kenner planning to add him to the Super Powers action figure series? These questions and more are answered at the following link...

Spotlight: Edward Scissorhands
This month, Diamond Comics is soliciting the "Ice" variant version of the Edward Scissorhands action figure from Yellow Submarine. Have a peek at the regular version and see how he stacks up to the McFarlane version.

Spotlight: Scary Tales Wolf
The RTM Spotlight follows up the Lil Red Riding Hood Spotlight with a look at the Big Bad Wolf figure from Mezco's Scary Tales series. (The three "Alice in Wonderland" figures will be in the Spotlight soon.)

------ News Highlights ------

Reverend Rose's List for 2001
Every year, Reverend Rose compiles a list of "Warped Toys." See which ones did and did not make the list this year.

Mezco's Freedom (again)
This week, we've got images of the painted prototype of Freedom. (Freedom is the action figure being produced by Mezco to raise funds for the charities connected with relief efforts for the September 11th attacks.)

See's Exclusive Barbie Doll
See's Exclusive "I Left My Heart in San Francisco" Barbie Doll can be ordered online, or at their holiday tea party for children.

Simpsons Blocko Figures
Pictures of the first three sets of these small and blocky Simpsons figures from Playmates Toys.

McFarlane NFL Rookies
The latest edition of the "Todd McFarlane Update" reveals that a new NFL Rookies assortment will turn up in stores in time for the Super Bowl.

Vampire: the Masquerade
Diamond Select Toys announces that it will be making action figures based on the White Wolf property "Vampire: The Masquerade," due out in March. Figures based on "Werewolf: The Apocalypse" will follow in the summer.

------ From the Buzz ------

Wing Zero has a very eerie (and neat!) story about collecting:

Taichi has assembled a list of variants in the Harry Potter action figure series:

Adrian is working out the kinks which prevented Mac users from viewing Action-Figure.com:

Bobbi has been posting trivia questions daily:

(The posts on the Buzz last only a few days, so if you are reading this more than two or three days after this issue of RTMemo was sent out, the posts will likely be gone.)

------ From the MarketBuzz ------

Barb is looking for a new Hot Wheels Daytona 500 set:

Cleatis is searching for a reasonable place to get Robotech Masterpiece Collection Veritechs:

------ From Amazon.com ------

Batman Masterpiece Edition: The Caped Crusader's Golden Age
This book is a packaged set, including a reprinted Batman comic book, a hardcover early history of Batman, and most importantly, a 9-inch action figure of Batman with an amazing cape.

------ From the Old Days ------

Gundam Bonanza
From June 2000, this back-issue of Speed Lines explains much about Gundams: a bit about the Gundam timelines, the different grades of model kits, and other Gundam toys.

------ Toy Link of the Week ------

All Info About Toys and Collectibles
A toys and collectibles site aimed at the younger set, written in plain language which is easy for kids to understand.

------ Non-Toy Link of the Week ------

Kids' Turn Central
Another site with kids in mind: Kids' Turn Central is a safe place for kids to meet other kids via a chat room and a forum. The site also has craft instructions and printable coloring pages, among other fun activities.

------ Coming Soon ------

This week, there will be more RTM Spotlights than usual, including the delayed Spotlight on the Fireball Raceway from Hot Wheels.

------ In Closing ------
