What...yet another custom con finds me unprepared? Stop the presses! Maybe next time year?
But, hey! Very nice STAS customs, Clayface. I have entertained the idea of animated style customs. I still have all the bits & pieces I needed to at least contemplate cobbling together a Doom Patrol once upon a time. But my prototypes never looked as nice as your figures. Spot-on STAS Superman & awesome Kirby characters—STAS Steppenwolf!
Kudos.
Why? I am just trying to figure out why guys accross many action figure forums are driving across their state stock piling a $20 figure with no chance at a dewback, vehicle, or playset. I can understand picking up a few regular stormtroopers, but why army build Sandtroopers.
I found 1 box at a local Target this morning, picking up the Luke and Maul just to get started. I left the Sandtrooper for someone else who may be pining for one. Eventually I will get one of each release, even the prequel figures, but will hope for a sale to get R2. R2 should have really come with C3PO or Yoda. Good Luck.
Has Hasbro Toy Shop always had listings for toys that are only viewable after using their search tool?
I had been checking on and off for the new G.I. Joe Budo/Kwinn wave and figured if I bookmark the brand page that eventually the items would show up. During one of my visits, the page had the same old items, but under the recommendations at the page bottom, I saw a figure from the new wave and clicked it. Long story short, the only way you could find the wave is to type "Retaliation" in the search box.
Same thing for the new Avengers line and the new Marvel Universe wave, they don't show up when you visit the "Marvel" brand page, but they appear when you type in "Avengers" or "Universe" respectively.
At least I got the Joes I wanted, mind you these are pre-orders, but at least now I don't have to haunt the toy aisles and leave empty-handed.
This custom NECA Pacific Rim Crimson Typhoon figure is ready to battle the Kaiju with various modifications to the original figure. All the single direction arm hinges were removed and replaced with full motion universal joints including the wrists so Crimson Typhoon can cross its arms for blocking or strike with them. The removable saw hands came from Transformers mech-tech Ratchet's weapons and the larger one from an Ironhide Bot Shots trailer. Crimson's ankles were given ball joints as well so he could be posed to side-step incoming attacks. The mono eye was drilled out and given a light-up LED eye that shines in a spotlight effect just as it did in the movie. Extra sculpting detail was added on all the arms, body, and torso, then the entire figure was repainted with various armor shades, weathering, battle damage, and tiny lighted dots. Add a plasma blast effect and Crimson Typhoon is ready for his one minute of screen time and woeful defeat!

Here's a brand new custom Masters of the Universe Classics figure, Skeletor's Skeleton Warrior knight! The Skeleton Warrior was made from a Hellboy Bust-ups Graveyard Skeleton, GI Joe action battler Viper hands, Zodak boots, and the main body/armor from the Faceles One. The Skeleton Warrior is based off the ones that appear in the He-Man app game and stands 8" tall.

So I picked up this toy the other day. It is the McDonalds Electronic Happy Meal Drive Thru. There is a video review here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo5yF9RP86U
I can only find listings of loose and incomplete listings that have sold or are active on Ebay. Mine is complete and unopened in box. The tape on the box is split, but all the contents are sealed. Does anyone have any info on this? I picked it up at a garage sale and I am wondering how rare it is. Here are some pics, and thanks in advance.
So after reading that TRU Marvel Wave 16 was hitting Canada, I found the UPC code and checked my local TRU. Well unfortuantley Wave 16 shares the same Item # as Wave 14 and 15, which are currently choking the pegs at all 4 local TRUs around me. My only hope is going to be TRU.com unless I do a big transfer. One local has 71 2 packs from Wave 14 alone...
Toyark has the details on The Walking Dead Wave 4 which for the first time I believe includes 8 different 2 packs between TRU and LCS. When it comes to minimates, usually I feel the more the merrier, but August is going to bring us Marvel Wave 50, Marvel Wave 51, Tomb Raider, Wolverine and the possibly the Walking Dead Wave 4 so things are going to get a little nutty.
Here's hoping everything else I am looking forward to has some shelf life when they finally show up... Kick A 2, Aliens Wave 2, Star Wars Black, Marvel Universe, Marvel Legends....
After seeing pics of amazing amounts of Matty Collector stuff (MotU, Ghostbusters, etc) at one of the California Mattel stores, I made a trip to the Wilmot, WI store this weekend.
It is basically in the middle of nowhere. Most of the stuff was priced pretty much in line with retail stores, but here's what I remember and approximate prices...
They had a few of the recent DC Classics 2 packs for around $32 (AzBats/Batman, Yellow Hal/Blue Kyle.)
Young Justice Build an Amazo 2 packs for regular retail price
Young Justice singles (nothing exciting, Icicle Jr, Walmart Kid Flash), don't recall price
DC Action League Flashpoint wave for $3.99ish
WWE - Legends for approx $8 - only Texas Tornado (they had 3)
A few odd WWE Rumblers packs I'd never seen at retail
Nothing else of note, no Matty Collector stuff
Matty Collector stuff they did have...
DC Retro Action John Stewart - approximately $6
JLU Stripe - approximately $8 (had plenty!)
JLU Doom Patrol set - approximately $8 (only had 1)
2009 JLU Green Lantern 3 pack exlusive - $6ish (had plenty!)
JLU Flash, Green Lantern, Hawkman 3 pack - $7ish (only had 1)
Did you get the Jaws reference? Who said science and nature toys had to be boring? Anyway, here is something the whole family will love. Fossilized prehistoric shark teeth! Each shark tooth pack comes with eight (yes, eight!) genuine real fossilized shark teeth. Make shark tooth necklaces, collect them or extract the DNA and create a mutant race of prehistoric sharks.
And, if so, did you get a refund? I'm having serious buyer's remorse about this thing.
