Can someone help me understand the 3rd party Transformers stuff?

Long time lurker here. So, asides from a few Generations purchases, I haven't really been keeping up with TF toy news. A few months back, someone posted here about the 3rd party stuff coming out. I had no idea what they were talking about, so I did some googling and was blown away! The websites that seem to be making this stuff though don't really seem to sell directly and/or be in English. So, few questions:

1. What is the best way to purchase some of these? Have I missed the boat on initial releases and have to rely on ebay now?

2. Looks like there are 2 competing versions of Devastator out there. consensus on which is better?

Thanks!

So when does the Refresh Fest begin for HTS?

I thought it would be next Monday but I read on Fwoosh some may be getting orders through?

Just hoping to get the MU Deadpool Set and Old Man Logan Figure. The ML is too much and I only really want Luke Cage. Thanks.

So, Dark Horse is making Game Of Thrones "action figures" without articulation. Ugh!

I was so looking forward to this line but get disappointed, once again. They even want you to pay $24.99 for these non-articulation figures. What's the point of making them? You already have statues for this line. Here's hoping another company actually makes action figures for this line.

MOTUC at Big Lots

I think it's widely known Big Lots received MOTUC ($10) and 12" Ghostbusters 2-packs ($30, not sure, didn't see them) but just in case...

JAKKS doing anything with the Nintendo license?? SDCC?

IIRC, JAKKS Pacific acquired the NA rights for Nintendo toys, figures, etc. has there been any news on this since they purchased the license? Are they at SDCC? I would love a new Zelda line!!!

I'm seeing all the new stuff at SDCC, but...

I just don't feel the excitement like I used to.

The Sideshow Star Wars looks great..Hoth Luke and Han look amazing. But maybe it's too late? Does anyone feel like they've lost some of the luster these items had?

I find myself excited for the 6" line because it's different, but even then I just want Maul and maybe Artoo.

I remember years of literally salivating during SDCC week..now it's mild excitement.

After years of collecting, I feel like I have the best versions of most characters and the really obscure ones like Jason Todd, Hush and General Veers are never going to be released in wide scale formats again. How many Darth Mauls Vaders and Storm Shadows can one own?

The Retaliation 3.5 wave of ultimate Cobra Commander and Storm Shadow will probably mark the end of collecting that line for me.

Wrestling /Mattel have some great new figures, but how many CM Punks do I need? Especially when they nailed a great sculpt 2 years ago and haven't made a better one yet.

My only ongoing interest is with Transformers..they have such an open universe to work with on classic characters especially with 3rd party product.

I just hope I haven't...grown up!!!

ML Batroc, Tiger Shark & Radioactive Man!

Wow, totally unexpected and in the proper silver age looks. Don't stop there. There's Living Laser, Whirlwind, Executioner and Enchantress just waiting.

Toy Brick

My grandmother gave me a set of toy brick for Christmas, about 1960 or 61. Near life sized, studs & indentations to stack well. I still have about 20 some. No one else I knew ever had any or ever heard of them. Did I get some 1 of a kind toy? I rather doubt it. She was not a person of privilege or wealth to get something like that. Set was probably 3-4 dozen when new. No markings at all on the bricks. The box did not survive the 1st year or I might remember something from it. Has anyone else ever seen these? See pic.

Custom Alien vs Predator Arcade Dutch Schaefer, Razor Claw Alien

Aliens have invaded earth and it's up to an unlikely alliance of humans and Predators to take them down! That was the premise of the Alien vs Predator Arcade game by Capcom. Here we have Major Dutch Schaefer created in the 7" NECA style made from their Predator Jungle Dutch, a Microman Bio-machine hand, TF Landmine winch, Armored Core arm, Halo George shoulder pad, and other fodder parts. There's multiple double ball joints all through his arm for maximum posability as well. I'll be doing a whole Line-up of Alien vs Predator Arcade figures soon!
