Raving Toy Maniac

Someone emailed today and stumped me: "I've been trying to find this toy set that I had as a child for years now and can' find it anywhere. All I have from the set is a little dog figurine in a teal dress. She had a family and came with a house. My sisters also had similar sets, one was a pig family that own a bakery and a bear family set. My biggest problem is I don't know what they were called. All I know is that they are from the yearly 90s'. They are not the felt ones they are small and plastic with no movable parts."

Honestly Walmart and Target are so out of the loop when it comes to boys toys, I am glad my boys are only becoming intereseted in construction toys and video games. My youngest son has just gotten into the New Mega Bloks Call of Duty Sets, where each minifigure is comprised of 20 parts and is more detailed than most Marvel or DC Figures. Good Luck everyone, it's going to be a sad holiday season with only TRU getting in limited cases of new product.

Nice Comedian figure review at MWCtoys...

His face sculpt seems to look more...cartoony than the other "Black Freighter" figures so far...at least to me.

Finally some decent accessories, too, although I might have preferred an alternate head featuring his black leather "bondage hood" instead of the flame-thrower.

Looking forward to Ozy's release later this year, and enjoying watching the (lengthy) Ultimate version of the movie. So much good stuff was left off the theatrical release. I was disappointed at the time, but those Black Freighter comic segments would have distracted & confused the average movie-goer, of course...

They have a promotion going on now (Sept 19) thru Sat. Sept. 21 whee you can get 20% off just about everything you purchase or 25% off if you pay with a TRU credit card. That should help take the sting out of some of the large ticket exclusives they are rolling out for the holiday season. Unfortunately it resulted in me spending $375 on TMNT merchandise. I'm not trying to sell them here, if I were, I would post over in the classifieds. But I have so many of them just taking up space, and I see a lot of customs with them during custom con. Does anyone still collect these? They're not terrible, especially considering the other toys of the time.

Is it normal for Amazon to only offer 1 figure for sale out of a set? Example: They had Flashback HHH for sale from WWE Elite 23 but none of the others. Just wondering if I should be patience for the others or if I missed the boat on them. Any help is appreciated.
