I am feenin' to see their Hobbit/LOTR line!
It'll be nice to see the denizens of Midle Earth back on the shelves again.
I'm kinda upset with myself that sold all of my TB/Marvel toy LOTR stuff. I had everything and everyone. Including that badass 10 inch Sauron WITH ring. Damn you, past me!!
What a great, huge, expansive line that sent even Star Wars on a run for its' money.
Hopefully Bridge Direct matches the quality and expansiveness of the original line (though my hopes aren't too high).
I've attached the link to all of them. The only one they don't have is
Iron Man. No pictures. Good luck. And, yes, they're not officially
called Marvel Legends anymore, which is weird. They're now Marvel
Universe 6 inch figures.
I hope this is indeed attributed to updated technology and not a lack of interest in the line.
Either way, thanks for bringing us this figure Matty!
Originally, when setting up the way the forum is displayed, I thought we would try to mimic the old Buzz by having the replies nest/thread under the post it was replying to.
In theory, this was nicer than in practice. The indented boxes were nice and all, but it got confusing to try and follow threads once they had more than a few posts.
I apologize for that. It turned out to be just plain annoying, but I had meant well.
I talked it over with Rob and we agreed that it would be best to change it to put the replies at the end of the thread like people are used to seeing from every forum on the Internet except the old Buzz. And then he asked, "I thought there was an option for people to set it however they want to see it?"
Oh yeah. There is. I had forgotten all about that.
Now the default view is "flat list - expanded" - that will have the full text of each post, with the replies at the bottom of the whole thread. But at the top of the thread, after the first post, there's a section of drop-down boxes for you to set how you want to see the thread.
So if you have ANY interest in this line, no doubt you've heard the news that we are getting a series 3! And if you haven't here's the lineup:
Batman (normal masked)
Ra's Al Ghul (Yay!)
Penguin
Joker Thug (Proof to me they are extending the life of this line)
Azrael
Additionally, we have June release dates for Croc and Freeze, and November for Titan Joker!
I've got them all up on pre-order fro BBTS right now. Can't wait.
We also caught wind this week that there will be a 13 inch Grundy!!
I'm really hoping we get a peek at the rest of the wave 3 sculpts in two weeks, and that there is a series 4 and 5 shown including Clayface, Hugo Strange, Talia, Two-Face, Nightwing, and Deadshot to name a few.
Anyone else see these bad boys/ have an opinion?
I managed to find one by feeling the bags (that's right, I typed that) and was really impressed with the quality of the figure. Just wondering how rare this figure is. It would be a shame if every fan of the Surfer didn't get the chance to have one of these cool little dudes.
Hey, his board even has peg holes on it! How many Surfer Minimates did AA/Diamond produce before they realized that particular design innovation?
I've been using the Mattel DCSH Black and Grey Batman as my default display Batman for sometime now but....he's starting to look kind of shrimpy. Its only going to get worse as more and more of the Arkham City figures hit. Anybody have a good idea to replace him? I know DC Direct has done a TON of black and grey Bats, but which one is the BEST in your opinion? I just saw one on Ebay the other day I didnt even know existed-Enemies Among Us Batman? That looks pretty good.....
Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Sigma Six, but I don't want that aestetic mixing w/ML.
I wasn't quite sure I could justify $70 on this thing (let alone the
$90 that TRU wants to charge)... but then I bought and built the
Batwing, Luthor-bot and Cat-cycle sets and thought, "yes, I want a
bloody LEGO Batcave."
It's pretty impressive; the build took awhile (I didn't think I'd be
able to finish by the time I had to work yesterday, but I did-barely),
and it was fun to do. The vehicles that come with it are both nice
(Bane's drill tank) and a little mediocre (the Bat-cycle). There's
plenty of fun to be had with the holding cell, which is detachable
from the rest of the unit and stays in place very well, and the Bat-
computer is pure dorky goodness. I currently have Bats taking council
in his chair with Supes and WW standing nearby. The working gate is
cool, although I'm not sure if the Batmobile can fit through the door.
The only thing that doesn't impress me about this set overall is the
elevator to 'change' Bruce into Batman. I was expecting a crank or a
thumbwheel, but instead there's a pin holding the Batman part of the
elevator up; remove said pin, push Bruce down the shoot, and plop,
It looks like we will be able to complete The Munsters with Marilyn and Eddie coming in July, plenty of time before Halloween (unlike Herman, Lily and Grandpa). Good news!
