Gatchaman / G-Force..anything new?

I could I swear I remember a movie preview about 2 years ago..but don't recall ever seeing an actual movie.

Has anyone heard news about the property? This seems like a no-brainer for figures, vehicles etc.

Hobbit Figures solicited (but unidentified) on BBTS

http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/menu.aspx?menu=2370&category=8458

Both 3.75" and 6" lines. Unfortunately, it looks like Bridge Direct will put the bulk of their efforts behind the 3.75" line, as I expected, with the 6" "deluxe" line relegated to a 1 or 2 wave afterthought. Both scales are horrendously expensive, again unsurprising given trends over the last few years.

DC Comics Shuts Down Message Boards

I had no idea this was happening until I checked in tonight. Here's a news story on the switch/shutdown.

More grist for the haters, including me.

If there is any bright side to this, I am sure that wherever he is, Munkypunk is very, VERY upset. Tongue

Polar Stealth Gear on Young Justice today?

All the gang in polar gear...specifically called by Batman as "Polar Stealth".

I guess we know what to expect as the next variants.

Now TELL ME that Mattel doesn't have ah and in this show! lol

Why did Hasbro not produce Animated Avengers figures?

Just so we are on the same page, I am refering to the lastest Avengers cartoons that has already had 2 seasons (not sure if they had more of less) and is having a new season, just in time for the Avengers Movies tie in, which gives more support to the new Avengers action figure line.. If I was a kid, and who was too young to see the movie, well the cartoon is a great insentive for kids to have recognition of the characters like Hulk, Thor, Captain America when they go to the toy isile.
I do remember the Animated Toy Biz figures, however that scale was slightly larger than most of the Toy Biz figures. They were pretty cool. However Toy Biz was the king of never being consistant of the scales of figures, Hasbro with the 3 3/4 scale has kept the characters in resonable scale.
Getting back to the animated Avengers show, there has been TONS of cameos like the Masters of Evil. Baron Strucker, Baron Zemo, and Captian Mar vell (i think songbird made a cameo too, but not sure. I am really wanting these figures.

Any chance of NECA or Disney Store John Carter figures?

I saw the film last night and ended up loving it (despite a few weak spots and a wooden lead - but hey, we liked Star Wars despite Mark Hammills acting, right?) It's everything a movie based on a Burroughs pulp novel should be. I would love a Tars Tarkas figure - is there any chance or indication that NECA or the Disney Store might have some exclusive figures?

Who would you like the next Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure to be?

I'm thrilled that the Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure's are back and with Terrax and Arnim Zola out of the way, I'm curious about what other slightly larger but not Sentinal size (miss those days) characters might be a good fit for the build-a-figure in the next couple of Marvel Legends waves?

It seems like Thanos would be an obvious choice unless the Marvel Select version already fills that need for people. Personally I'd love to see a classic white/pink Nimrod from the X-Men comics. Scale seems just about right too.

What other build-a -figure possibilities are there for characters that haven't seen the Marvel Legends treatment yet?

Mattel cancels DCUC Larfleeze, Batman Beyond, and Plastic Man?

I just got an email from BigBadToyStore telling me that Mattel has canceled Larfleeze, Batman Beyond, Plastic Man, and Flash. Anybody know what's going on there? Is Mattel still screwing with the line-ups, or are they cutting the online retailers out of the loop? If Mattel makes this line remotely difficult to find, I have no qualms about walking away - these aren't worth chasing all over heck and breakfast to find. Pre-orders with BBTS is about the only way I've been willing to collect this line. So: anyone out these know what's going on here?

EDIT: While I was composing this, BBTS cancelled several of the wave 3 figures as well. However, they updated their listing for the wave 1 full wave. They now show Red Robin, Superboy Prime, Batman (JLA), and Superman (JLA) as being wave 1. It looks like it may be a few waves being shuffled by Mattel. Whoo boy.

Zoltron Toy Question

Has anyone heard if or when Mattel is going to release toys from the new Voltron show? It'd be great if they would realease a new Voltron in scale with Blazing Sword Voltron.
