Actually contemplating quitting 1/6 scale- a milestone for me.

I opened the Avengers Ultimate Hawkeye and I really think this figure is awesome and a great nod to Ult-Fans.

Then, I set him on my shelf next to the various favorite ML and MU figures I have there including Bucky Cap, Winter Soldier, US Agent, Deadpool, Cyclops(Jim Lee version), Apocalypse, Moon Knight, Steve Rogers & Silver Samurai. Also present are ML's Fantomex, Bucky Cap, Steve Rogers, Winter Soldier, War Machine and Iron Man.

In a pile to be opened next to this shelf are Hot Toys War Machine, Iron Man Mark IV, Sideshow Bespin Luke, ANH Han Solo and a few others.

While I really love some of the existing 1/6 figures I have and have raved about through the years (HT Batman, SS Firefly, Storm Shadow, Darth Maul & CC) I'm finding myself equally giddy over the latest 3 3/4" and 6" Marvel and DC product. I think DCUC Zoom, Tall Sinestro and Toyman are completely under-rated items.

So we know that HT is going to be doing Marvel & DC figures..and yet I find myself feeling not as excited as I was.

Did the DC Direct DC universe online figures come out?

They were sceduled for yesterday, and I've still never seen a picture of the Wonder Woman, except that they used the DC Universe Online statue to represent it.

So does this WW toy exist? Do any of them exist? DC Direct's websote is all kinds of janked up now and I haven't made it out to a comic shop. BBTS still has them listed as Preorder. I'm interested in finding that WW if it looks anything like the statue and the Cyborg looks great, but with DC Direct nowadays, who knows what's going on?

One question. Will Adam Strange ever appear in the New 52??

Sorry, guys. I had to ask.

Hasbro O/Line Store with ML W-2..........Mix?

Anyone else actually get a chance to order these? I must have hit a lukcy time-frame.
as I was able to order a set with the 20% discount to boot. Haven't shipped yet......
The photo of these on their website shows a mix of characters, some would appear
to be the regulars, and others the alternate color; so, I realloy don't know who is really
in their case. Anyone get a Hasbro Store order and an actual receipt?
Thanks.

Hot Toys DX08 Nicholson Joker 12" Figure Review!

Hey all!

Yeah, I know... I haven't posted since the death of the Old Buzz really. Sad Well, I am going to try and change that as I miss my old fellow Buzzers...

Figured I'd start my return to posting with a link to our Hot Toys 1989 Nicholson Joker review, since it just went up this morning over at my '89 Batman fansite, 1989Batman.com! Around 40 pics and a half hour video spotlight await here:

http://www.1989batman.com/2012/03/merchandise-spotlight-hot-toys-dx08.html

(Just to warn those unfamiliar with our video spotlights- Our review style is a bit different than most. Up to this point, we have mostly reviewed the Mattel MOTU Classics... but what we do is put a bunch of pictures of a figure and then my 9-year-old son Blaze and I ramble on about that specific figure in video format. It is fun for us because this is a hobby we share and we feel it is kinda neat to see 2 generations offering their views on a current product. It isn't for everybody though, so I won't be offended if you skip the video and just look at the pics.)

Mechawhales

Hi Everyone!

My name is Hauke. I posted sometimes on the old buzz mostly about some custom figures I did. I switched to working with 3D a couple of years ago but still produce some resin figures in China based on my design from time to time. Currently I have developed a new range of characters called Mechawhales. This is basically about whales in giant exosuits who protect mankind against evil aliens. I have just finished my first animation with those characters that you can check out here:

http://www.mechawhales.com/

Here are some screenshots from the animation:

I also hope to produce a pvc figure later this year based on this prototype:

I would really like to hear what you guys think about the project.

Spent 20 minutes training WM staff how to spot repacks this morning..

After finding the Klaw, Constrictor and Ghost Rider Variants containing Spiderman, Nick Fury and Cyclops I decided to take them up front and show the Manager, explaining what had happened, how it happened and how to spot it.

She was apologetic and offered no excuse other than being a huge store that is understaffed, which is the truth.

I explained how unfair it would be for a kid to have Mom come home with Iron Man, only to find it's been repacked with come character from the 90's that's missing paint,m dragged through the dirt and touched by God knows who.

While it was 20 minutes out of my day, I'm hoping that my point was driven home to the Store Manager, Toy Department Mgr. and others present. You don't need to be a Toy Expert to compare the picture of the character on the package to what is actually inside the package.

When I started to explain how these losses translate to collectors like me going to other stores that don't have this issue, they perked up and listened more.

Saw the Batman/Catwoman 2-packs to Walmarts - Fenton, MI

2 of each version, gray pair and colorized 2-packs. Did not see the price stickers
anywhere, but guessing they are around the 31.99 each level. Passed, for at least
today.

Looking for robot parts for Portal 2 custom figures

I'm looking to make custom figures from my favorite game of the year, Portal 2. I'm going to make them in my standard JLU Animated style, but I'm looking for parts from other lines and I hoped you all could help!

I've got plenty of ideas for the main character, Chell (though if anybody knows of a perfect Portal Gun base, I'm open to suggestions!) I've also been considering making the two bots from the 2 player mode, Atlas and P-Body. I figure I'll have to sculpt the cores from scratch, but I was hoping I could find some robot appendages to attach for arms and legs. My initial thought was some kind of Star Wars droid, but I don't know the line(Drunk well enough to pick a good one. I'm obviously open to other lines too. They don't have to be perfect, as I can sand/sculpt to match, but something kinda close would be great. Anybody have any ideas? I've included a link below for visual reference.

Atlas and P-Body

Thanks in advance buzzers!

Marvel Legends big return to retail...where?

So is it the retailers or Hasbro that believes that restocking with one case once a month is meeting demand? On the lookout for ML2 while I keep reading reports of stores getting cases, but nothing yet in Central FL. I found 1 Bucky Cap amongst 6 Walmarts, none of these stores have them on order or in transit. Targets have yet to restock their Legends since the end of January and every scalper in Orlando is parked in front of TRU on a daily basis waiting for what the employees don't take. I just don't understand what is going on here...does Hasbro and retailers want to make money? The demand is there morons, who want to capitalize on it?
