------ Welcome to RTMemo ------

So, we're at Toy Fair, and all week there's this nagging feeling I have... more than just the constant drone of "my feet hurt" that echoed through my head the whole week. RTMemo! The plan was to send out a short issue each day, but as you may have noticed, that didn't happen. But on the bright side, today's issue is a bit longer than usual, and I've finally stopped whining about my feet. :-)

------ Featured This Issue ------

Toy Fair 2002
This is the central page for RTM's 2002 Toy Fair coverage. We are still putting up pictures, but should begin the "great re-org" by the end of the week, grouping the pictures by product line (rather than just by company) and adding in details such as release dates:

Speed Lines: Kamen Rider
Ray H's pre-Toy Fair installment of SL features coverage of Kamen Rider, Rockman EXE, Hurricaneger, and much more:

Manufacturing Madness
Ever wonder how action figures are made? The Toy Otter knows, and as luck would have it, he shares his knowledge in this feature:

Spotlight: Angel Action Figures
The RTM Spotlight took a look at the first series of Angel action figures from Moore Action. The first three figures in this line are Angel, Faith, and Cordelia:

Spotlight: Silent Screamers Golem Action Figure
Not only is the deluxe Golem action figure from Mezco nifty in itself, it comes with a door accessory that also works for 12-inch action figures:

Spotlight: Universal Monsters Action Figures
Speaking of 12-inch action figures that could use a spooky door prop, the Spotlight grouped three figures from Sideshow's Universal Monster series together in this Spotlight: Bela the Gypsy, Renfield, and Lon Chaney as the Monster from the Ghost of Frankenstein:

------ News Highlights ------

New DC Direct
Shipping in September from DC Direct: more Alfred E. Nueman, a Promethea deluxe set, several sets of Pocket Superheroes (including the Martian Manhunter with JLA meeting table playset), a PVC set based on the Dark Knight Strikes Again, a Streaky plush toy, a Hawkgirl maquette, and a Joker mini-bust.

Mr. Potato Head Turns 50
Hasbro has a year-long celebration planned, including a "50 Years of Smiles" contest.

Factory X's Marvel Universe
Did you miss out on the Thor's Hammer replica? Have a look at Captain America's Shield, Elektra's Sais, Nick Fury's badge and gun, and an Iron Man helmet you can wear.

Golden Age Wonder Woman Pocket Super Hero
If you didn't get this figure in December, don't resort to eBay before you check with your local comic shop this week. Some stores will get two more of the Wonder Woman promo figures in their shipments from Diamond on Wednesday the 27th.
