During the Clone Wars, Jan Dodonna commanded the Republic fleet at the First Battle of Cato Neimoidia.
When the Republic became the Galactic Empire, Dodonna retired from service, and after a failed attempt from the Empire to assassinate him, Dodonna joined the rebellion to later be commissioned General by Mon Mothma.
