Hasbro's first attempt at the Marvel Universe surprised everyone this year at Toyfair. They decided to issue a collector's edition Avengers box set featuring the line up from the first issues of the 1963 series.

Hasbro bought Toybiz's old Famous Covers molds and reused some of the old DC9" and 12" GIJoe bodies as well. The line up of this introductory box set includes Iron Man, Hulk, Giant Man, Wasp, and Thor. They will come packaged in a collector friendly box and be a limited release, possibly via a relaunched hasbrocollector website or an exclusive retailer.

Expect to see more Marvel characters in this line. Hasbro plans to cover most of Marvel's original Silver Age characters.
