------ Welcome to RTMemo ------

2002 is turning out to be an excellent year so far - RTM is now based in the Midwest, and the winter so far has been astoundingly mild, like a dream come true. We're certain that Mother Nature will make up for it next month, but we'll take it as an omen for the rest of the year.

------ Featured This Issue ------

Spotlight: Spider-Man Movie Figures
Another happy but unexpected thing is that the Spider-Man movie action figures have landed in stores months before the film's release date. RTM takes a close look at the first five Spidey movie figures here:

Spotlight: Larry Talbot
Sideshow Toy's 12-inch Universal Monsters series continues with another action figure based on the Wolf Man, this time a figure of Larry Talbot, played by Lon Chaney, Jr.:

Burger King Lord of the Rings Toys
Did you collect all of the toys in the Burger King Lord of the Rings promotion? RTM pictures each toy, lists their features, and also outlines what variant toys exist. Of course, with each passing day, more variants seem to turn up:

------ From the Buzz ------

Mom Racer asks what advice could ONLY a true "raving toy maniac" offer:

Tom inquires about future series of Resident Evil action figures from Palisades, and gets an official answer:

(The posts on the Buzz last only a few days, so if you are reading this more than two or three days after this issue of RTMemo was sent out, the posts will likely be gone.)

------ From the ShopCenter/MarketBuzz ------

Copper-Floor would like to trade SW for DCD:

Grouch is having a moving sale:

------ From AllPosters.com ------

Legolas Poster
Our search strings lately are filled with "legolas picture" and variants on that theme. This poster should help fill that craving:

------ Toy Link of the Week ------

Spawn Collectors Guide
A fan site for Spawn action figures, with a price guide and an ID guide. The ID guide has over 142 variants listed and pictured. Their price guide is based on auction prices, so they are prices that real people are paying for real figures:

------ Non-Toy Link of the Week ------

MyCoupons
In addition to offering coupon codes and information newsletters, MyCoupons.com is known for its "shopping boards," which are busy forums on which shoppers trade tips. On any given day, you can learn what items Target has recently marked down on clearance or which online store is having an incredible sale. Be warned, though, these forums are highly addictive:
