Battle Armor Thor Bust

Battle Armor Thor Bust

June 20, 2002 - Inspired by the works of Walter Simonson and sculpted by Tony Cipriano! In the early 1980's writer/artist extraordinaire Walt Simonson began chronicling the adventures of The Mighty Thor. For over forty issues this epic run brought new life to the saga of the Thunder God in a way heretofore unseen. Combining elements of fantasy mythology and science fiction readers were catapulted into fantastic new encounters and heroic quests with every thrilling issue.

These memorable adventures culminated during the last few issues in which Thor struggled with the crippling effects of a curse placed on him by Hela the Goddess of Death. The curse which caused Thor's bones to become brittle as if aged beyond countless years while never healing from any injury would have been enough to cause most of the heroic denizens of the Marvel Universe to beg for release.

Utilizing a steel mill Thor forged for himself a suit of armor from Asgardian Steel emblazoning his belt with the Rune of Odin. Now Thor was armored as befitted a true warrior of Asgard and his subsequent battles while wearing this armor proved that his might was truly unmatched! Now you can honor the matchless might of the one and only Battle Armor Mighty Thor with this special limited edition bust that commemorates his greatest adventures!
