Sideshow/WETA has unveiled a new line of collectible Lord of the Rings medallions. There will be 24 medallions in all, released one each month starting in January 2002. Each is a limited edition of 10,000.
The low-relief medallions are sculpted at the WETA Workshop, the same group responsible for the special effects and makeup in the Lord of the Rings trilogy of films. Each medallion is about 6 inches in diameter and portrays a scene from the films.
