Swaping 3.75 G. I . Joe heads question

Hi Gang,

I am in the process "just the thinking part" of trying to swap heads of two female G I Joe heads (from the Retaliation Movie) Lady Jaye and Jinx yellow suit (Kim Arashikage). The heads look like they are on a ball joint, and that the heads should just pop off, and be able to be placed on the ball joint.
I was hoping to swap heads to create a new character.

Anyone who has swapped heads, is this an easy process to do?

A little help from my friends? (Doctor Who figures related).

Hello, everybody.

Just wondering if I might make a request of you beautiful and intelligent people. (Mom said you could get more flies with honey than vinegar, right?)

So here goes....

If there are any of you who were lucky enough to get the Other Doctor/John Hurt action figure and are willing to part with the extra Paul Mcgann/8th Doctor figure head, I would be most interested in acquiring it from you for a reasonable price.

I like to make custom figures and need an 8th doc head for a Dark Eyes Mcgann figure.

If you are open to this, I'd be willing to part with $10 plus shipping.

Anyhow--e-mail me at [email protected] if you are open to this idea.

Best,

Smitty

Toys I shouldn't take for granted...

I was dusting my collection last week, and took some time to reflect on a few figure lines I bought long ago...some even at brick & mortar stores(!) to put the chronology in perspective...and some I acquired the very earliest pre-WWW days of the Internet. I tend to walk by them everyday, but ignore them and largely take them for granted. Some are now worth some cash, assuming you could find any for sale. Others are (still) relatively worthless, but I enjoy them anyhow.

For instance, I have one of those vintage Pulsar figures, still in great shape. I wanted this guy (and Hypnos) desperately when I was a kid. Pulsar looked fabulous, compared to my spindly, little GIJoes & monkey-armed Captain Actions. Pulsar was larger than the standard 1:6, had groovy hair, and a mesomorphic bod with broad shoulders that any superhero would envy. (Not to mention his cool transparent chest with pumping heart!) Too bad Pulsar was articulated so poorly, and sported truly useless hands that could hold nothing. Big Jim had similar, useless hands, but I had to pick up a few of BJ's Wolf Pack, just for the Jack Kirby box art!

The new Glyos-Compatible Skeleton Warriors line is a go

.

I was having my doubts that their kickstarter would reach their $45K goal, but a last minute surge nudged it over the $50K line. Didn't reach any of their stretch goals, though, I'm not sure what this means for the line's continuation.

Fell off the Wagon ... Hard

Employment was a challenge for me for a few years there, so I'd been mostly out of the whole action figure thing. Now that I'm gainfully employed again (knock on wood) I decided to take a look at what's out there.

I think I used to lament how my tastes had gotten more expensive over time. I'd shifted collecting from things you could find on pegs (which isn't cheap either these days!) to stuff that needed to be imported (I miss Gundam.) From there I'd moved onto mostly 1/6 scale (or at least 12" size) things because of the detailing, accessories, and pose-ability they had over 6" figures. So now I've managed to spend a little over $1,000 on a whopping FOUR figures this year.

1. ThreeZero - Titanfall Atlas w/ Pilot
2. ThreeZero - Full Metal Ghost w/ Pilot
... I'd always liked the Four Horsemen's proposed Symbiotech line of large figures will smaller companion/pilots, and these beasts fit that bill nicely.

3. Original Effect - Gaya
4. Original Effect - Sam

Some new(ish) action figure kickstarters

For those of you who don't already know about these...

First is a project to resurrect the old Skeleton Warriors line as a Glyos-compatible line. It's supposed to be 3 3/4" scale, but this puts Baron Dark at 5". This one's got less than 2 weeks left to go, I'm afraid.

Next we've got this project that's looking to create a line of retro-style 3 3/4" Cthulhu mythos figures. As a guy who grew up with the '70s and '80s lines they're emulating, I think it's pretty rad.

And third, there's this project for a line of highly articulated 3 3/4" figures that are designed to be customizable. Series 1 is Greek warriors and Gorgons and it's already met the base funding goal, so now it's just a question of how many stretch goals get unlocked.

Can someone help me find the maker of this toy?

The yellow chair is fisher price. Does anyone know what the blue chair maker or set it comes from?
