Hasbro Marvel/Spider-Man Q&A

November 2007 - Each month, Hasbro will answer five questions about their Marvel and Spider-Man products. Here are the latest questions and answers:

1. Will the Hydra Soldier cases offered through Diamond come with the Brood pieces?

Answer: Yes, these cases will contain the Brood Series Hydra Soldiers.

2. Glad to see the Hasbro Marvel Legends packaging has gotten smaller since Wave One. Any chance you can add the recycling plastic code to the bubble so it can be accepted for recycling?

Answer: Great question and we've passed along to our packaging and structure teams. We'll need to dig into the requirements further before giving a definitive answer.

3. Are all the Marvel Legends waves going to have five figures from now on?

Answer: No, we actually don't have any 5-figure waves planned for 2008.

4. What's happening with the Marvel Legends 4 Beast figure, will it be released?

Answer: The team wasn't satisfied with the first production models, so we chose to launch without Beast as opposed to delay the entire wave. However, Astonishing Beast is still a part of the Nemesis wave - it hasn't been cancelled or removed. It will be out a few weeks behind the other figures.

5. In wave 3 packaging, I noticed Captain America, Hydra Soldier, and Colossus all had limbs threaded through cuts in the bubble. It was tricky to remove them, so I wondered how you got them into the package?!

Answer: Our structural Designers like to have fun with the figures and pose these figures out as dynamically as possible. Sometimes, in order to ensure that the figures stay in place and pass transit testing they are in fact threaded through the internal blisters. Our manufacturing partners use a variety of different assembly methods in order to achieve this so we couldn't say for certain how each one listed above was performed.
