August 2004 - Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC (DST) and Action Figure Xpress (AFX) are offering collectors an exclusive action figure based on one of the most popular characters from the hit TV shows Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer with the Angel: "Just Rewards" Spike Action Figure.

"We are ecstatic to be a part of Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles' all-new Angel action figure line," said AFX President Pat Wang. "The Willow action figures sold very well for us, so it only made sense for us to continue the success through this exclusive Spike figure from DST."

Designed by Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles (who also produced the figures) and Gentle Giant Studios (who also sculpted the figures), and offered exclusively by AFX, the figure depicts the vampire anti-hero (portrayed by actor James Marsters) as he appeared in the fifth season episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Featuring Spike in his menacing vampire form, the action figure � which is scheduled to be released in late January � stands approximately 6" tall and features 16 points of articulation. The figure also comes with a battle axe, a cross with an altar, a stake, a jacket, a bag of blood, and a railroad spike.
