DC Comics has announced the latest round of DC Direct products for fans to start salivating over now. These products will not be in stores until later this fall, but will be offered for order in the next issue of Previews.

Fans of Jack Kirby's classic Fourth World saga will thrill to the new Mr. Miracle/Big Barda 2 pack as much as fans of Mark Waid's classic run on Flash will delight to seeing Impulse and Max Mercury (each sold seperately) in action figure form.

MISTER MIRACLE/BIG BARDA DELUXE ACTION FIGURE SET

Advance-solicited; in stores October 11. An incredible 2-pack presents two of Jack Kirby's most dazzling "Fourth World" creations: the world's greatest escape artist and his Female Fury wife plus a bonus figure! Scott Free -- formerly of Apokolips, currently of Earth -- stands 6 1/2" tall with eleven points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles) and comes wearing a removable soft vinyl cape. His wife, the statuesque Big Barda, stands 7" tall with seven points of articulation (shoulders, elbows, upper arms, and waist) comes with an Omega Rod she can grasp and wears a removable helmet and a non-removable cape. The happy couple comes packaged together in a striking collector's box with two pairs of white "areo-disks" that secure to the bottom of their feet. Each set also includes Mister Miracle's diminutive pal Oberon, who stands 3 1/4" tall with four points of articulation (shoulders and hips).Final product may differ from picture shown.

Advance-solicited; in stores October 25. The most reckless youth in the DCU comes home in a Speed Force-powered action figure! Standing 5.75" tall, Bart Allen has eleven points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles) and may be placed in a running position on a base featuring the Flash insignia. Final product may differ from picture shown.

MAX MERCURY ACTION FIGURE

Advance-solicited; in stores October 25. An action figure captures the "Zen Master of Speed!" Keeping a cranky, watchful eye on his young ward Impulse, the septuagenarian speedster stands 6.5" tall with eleven points of articulation (neck, shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, and ankles) and may be placed in a running position on a base featuring the Flash insignia. Annoying young speedster sold separately. Packaged in a 4-color blister pack. Final product may differ from picture shown.

BAT-MITE SOFT TOY

Pre-solicited; in stores October 4. One of DC DIRECT's first soft toys duplicates that Silver Age imp named Bat-Mite! Scheduled to return to prominence in the upcoming SUPERMAN: WORLD'S FUNNEST one-shot, Batman's biggest fan stands 7" tall with hands that can adhere to other soft toys or to his own hips.

DEATH SOFT TOYVERTIGO

Pre-solicited; in stores October 4. Death's arrival can come in unexpected forms, but never as unexpected as this loveable soft toy, one of the first two released by DC DIRECT. Standing 7" tall, the Sandman's sister has rooted hair and a metallic ankh sewn into her top. Packaged in a 4-color window box.

BATMAN VAMPIRE STATUE

Sculpted by William Paquet based on designs by Kelley JonesELSEWORLDS. Pre-solicited; in stores October 18. Based on the undead, Elseworlds Batman from the Kelley Jones-illustrated "Vampire trilogy" -- BATMAN/DRACULA: RED RAIN, BATMAN: BLOODSTORM, and BATMAN: CRIMSON MIST -- this haunting cold-cast porcelain statue captures the Darkest Knight of them all bursting from his grave. Meticulously sculpted by William Paquet based on Jones's designs, each statue comes packaged with a Certificate of Authenticity. Final product may differ from image shown.

Sculpted by William Paquet based on designs by Darryl BanksAdvance-solicited; in stores September 20. The sold-out Hal Jordan statue is recreated as the second of three mini-statues based on the Green Lanterns! Measuring 4 1/4" w x 2 1/4" d x 4 1/2" h, this carefully crafted statue joins the mini-statue of Kyle Rayner (offered in last month's Previews) and Alan Scott (to be offered later in 2000).

SUPERMAN SNOW GLOBE

Sculpted by Tim Bruckner

Pre-solicited; in stores November 1. Superman descends from the sky to his classic Arctic Fortress of Solitude (complete with giant key) in an elegant snow globe! The globe stands 7" tall (including a sculpted, gold-painted base) with a 4 3/4" diameter, and features the cold-cast porcelain Man of Steel surrounded by white and gold particles of "snow," while the Fortress is etched onto the base. Each globe is packaged with a Certificate of Authenticity.

DEATH ANKH PROP

Written by Neil Gaiman

VERTIGO. Pre-solicited; in stores October 25. The emblem of Death of the Endless is reproduced in a beautiful wearable beveled pewter prop. Hanging from a fine black cord, this handsome ankh is inscribed on one side with the Neil Gaiman-written phrase "you get what anybody gets" on one side and that phrase's completion, "you get a lifetime," on the other. Packaged in a black gift box.
