Bandai Entertainment Launches Dothack

Cypress, CA (January 21,2003) � Bandai Entertainment announced today the launch of www.dothack.com for the upcoming DVD home video release of the animated series, .hack//SIGN (pronounced dot-hack).

Visitors logging onto www.dothack.com may choose between either the anime series specific or the video game specific portions of the website. Here visitors will find background information on "the World", differences between the .hack//SIGN (TV Series), .hack//LIMINALITY (OVA) and .hack//INFECTION (part 1) for the PlayStation®2, story synopsis, character information, staff credits, trailers, and home video release information. .hack//SIGN will premiere on Cartoon Network beginning 2.1.2003 at 3:00 PM ET

Fans Enter "The World" With DVD and PS2 Game Releases and TV Series Premiere

Cypress, CA (1/21/2003) � Get ready to face your match! Bandai Entertainment has announced the March 4, 2003 nationwide release for the .hack//SIGN - Login limited edition with collectors' DVD box set. The platinum series DVD will street March 18th.

Is it a game? Or is it a world? .hack//SIGN the anime series presents "The World," an engulfing, futuristic gaming environment where players log-on to test skills in virtual adventures and battles � whenever both realities collide, a whole new adventure unfolds. The story parallels current massive multi-player online role-playing games (MMORPG) that have generated worldwide attention with the popularity of "Everquest" and other games, and follows Tsukasa as he searches for a way out of "The World" after becoming stuck while logged-in.

A runaway hit in Japan .hack//SIGN features character designs by famed illustrator Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Wings of Honneamise), a script by Kazunori Ito (Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor), and is directed by Kouichi Mashimo (Noir).

Hailed by "Animerica" as "the ultimate synthesis of anime, manga, and video games," .hack//SIGN will make its North American television debut on the Cartoon Network in February 2003 and the video game, .hack//INFECTION (part 1) for the PlayStation®2 will be released on February 11th.
