July 2002 DC Direct Pocket Super Heroes

DC Direct has announced the 2-packs of the DC Pocket Super Hero action figures to be released in July 2002. Each 2-pack will retail for $9.95 USD.

POCKET SUPER HEROES SERIES I: AQUAMAN & BLACK MANTA
Advance-solicited; in stores July 24. On land or under the sea...DC Direct's new line of POCKET SUPER HEROES proves that size doesn't matter. The action begins with the Aquaman and Black Manta set, starring the King of the Seven Seas and one of his deadliest foes. The child of a surface man and a woman from Atlantis, Arthur Curry grew to possess the power to live underwater and communicate with all sea life. An undersea scavenger and criminal, Black Manta has vowed to destroy Aquaman and create his own underwater criminal kingdom. Both figures are 3 1/4" tall, feature articulation and are packaged together in a 4-color blister pack, which includes backdrop art, story card and plastic stand. College student Al Pratt was a 98-pound weakling, until he went on an intensive training program that turned him into the "Mighty Mite," The Atom. Dr. Mid-Nite is 3 1/4" tall and the Atom is 3" tall.
