Comments: A relatively new villain to the X-Universe at the time of this figure's release, Omega Red was part of a series that contained half villains. Up until this point, heroes had outnumbered villains in every series. With so many prominent heroes in the X-Men legacy, it was hoped that the main characters (especially heroes) would be produced expediently. This series seemed to indicate otherwise.

Omega Red was the third figure in this series to employ the twist waist action now common to the X-figures (found on several previous figures, most notably on Wolverine II and Wolverine III). The accessories were to plastic tendrils that could be attached to the figure's arms. One tendril was attached along a channel in the left arm. This allowed the tendril to be extended and retracted slightly.

This figure was available as a 10" figure as well including a KayBee Exclusive Metallic repaint.
