Hasbro Marvel/Spider-Man Q&A

October 2007 - Each month, Hasbro will answer five questions about their Marvel and Spider-Man products. Here are the latest questions and answers:

1. Will there be a 6-inch Spider-Man based on the comics, like the Toy Biz Classics line?

Answer: We've already released one 6" Spider-Man line which was based on Classic Comics --- Origins was all classic. And with such a deep rich history of Spider-Man lore there is reason to hold out hope for more!

2. Will there be any Spider-Man 360 figures based on the first two Spider-Man movies?

Answer: Unfortunately, we can't comment of the specifics of the lineup beyond what has already been revealed... but we will be continuing with this expression into 2008.

RTM Note: A big thanks to Chapel on the ToyBuzz for his sharp eyes in spotting this... peek at the October 5th BigBadToyStore.com newsletter and scroll to the middle for this tidbit: "MARVEL LEGENDS - UNLEASHED FIGURES: The Unleashed line makes its way from Star Wars, to Spider-Man, and now to the Marvel Legends series. The first two figures under the Marvel Legends them are Spider-Man and Green Goblin..."

3. Will there be a purchase limit of the Marvel Legends Fan's Choice (Wizard/ToyFare) figure?

Answer: An interesting question... but the exact logistics have not yet been determined. Supply and demand will definitely be considered.

4. For the "losing" figures from the Fan's Choice Poll, will those not be made or will they be worked into another ML wave or possibly another vendor's exclusive?

Answer: The answer will probably be different for each figure but this hasn't yet been determined. We'll definitely be listening to the fans in terms of what they want.

5. Are you shifting focus from Spidey & Friends to Super Hero Squad?

Answer: Both brands are strong and stand on their own. The intended age for these two lines are completely different so it's not really an either/or situation... there is focus on both.
