WIZKIDS ANNOUNCES "COMING OF GALACTUS" WORLD HEROCLIX EVENT!
May 9, 2007 (Bellevue, WA) - WizKids, Inc., maker of the hit collectible game, HeroClix, announced the "Coming of Galactus" event to celebrate the fifth anniversary of HeroClix. Beginning in July, the "Coming of Galactus" event is a five-week Sealed Tournament; one of the largest events ever offered for the Marvel HeroClix line with Galactus himself as the top prize for the winners of these events.
Galactus, Devourer of Worlds, is a powerful entity in the Marvel HeroClix universe. For this event, Galactus is preceded by the appearance of the Heralds of Galactus - four special Marvel HeroClix figures that have been created especially for this promotion as participation prizes for players. The tournament will take place weekly for a total of five weeks.
During weeks one though four, each weekly tournament is held as a Sealed event using game pieces from the Marvel HeroClix: Avengers set which releases at the end of June. Participants will receive an all-new, exclusive HeroClix Herald of Galactus figure, featuring Silver Surfer, Terrax the Tamer, Firelord, and Stardust. Players will not want to miss a week because they can swap out a figure pulled from a Sealed Booster with the Herald of Galactus figure they received the previous week. In the final event during week five, HeroClix players will compete to win the colossal Marvel HeroClix Galactus figure, using WizKids' official tournament rules.
