Toy Vault Reveals All About Upcoming Farscape Line

tv_chrichton_figure.jpg - 13785 BytesFor all of you anxious Farscape fans, the highly anticipated first series of the Farscape action figures will be available in November! Those of you who are unfamiliar with Farscape, these new and spectacular action figures are based on the hit TV show, Farscape, on the SCI-FI channel. The show is only in its 2nd season, but has gained fans around the world.

If you're an action figure collector, you won't be disappointed with the quality of these figures. The amount of time and effort Toy Vault has dedicated to this product line has resulted in a series of exceptional figures

Toy Vault plans to release several series of Farscape figures over thecoming years. The first series, as reported previously, includes Chiana, D'Argo, Zhaan, John Crichton, and an exclusive Aeryn Sun.

Each series will have up to three versions of each figure: A Regular Edition; Special Edition; and Exclusive Edition. Regular Edition figures will be available through all retail stores carrying Toy Vault products. Special Edition figures, a special treat for collectors, will be sold only through hobby and specialty stores. Production is limited to 30,000 and each figure will differ from the regular edition in some combination of accessories, paint or cloth clothing. The Exclusive Edition will only be available from one store or from the Toy Club. The exclusive figure is unique in that it is taken from a specific episode.

The first series has three exclusive figures: an exclusive Chiana,Crichton, and Aeryn Sun. The Chiana will be available from www.entertainmentearth.com for preorders. The Toy Club will be selling these figures sometime after they are released. The Crichton Exclusive, featuring John in black pants, black T-shirt and red cloth vest, will be a Toy Club exclusive and can be preordered from the Toy Club now for $12.50 plus shipping. This figure will be limited to 2,000 and may sell out fast.

Due to popular demand Toy Vault decided late in the development process to create an exclusive Aeryn Sun figure to be released at the same time asthe first series. This exclusive depicts Aeryn in the "Mad DNA Scientist"episode as she is transforming into a member of Pilot's race. The figure will be available exclusively through www.fandomshop.com for preorders and can be purchased through the Toy Club sometime after November.

A regular edition Aeryn will be coming in Series II, to be released in thesecond quarter of 2001. Series II will be composed of Aeryn Sun, Rygel, Captain Crais and Scorpius.

So what exactly do the different versions of each figure entail? We're glad you asked! Here's a detailed descriptions of each figure in Series I.

Fans attending the Creation Entertainment Farscape Convention in early August got a sneak preview of the figures. By popular demand at the convention, Toy Vault decided to release the DRD keychain and "Bag of DRDs" with Series I. You can order these items through the Toy Club. The DRD keychain can also be obtained from stores carrying Toy Vault products.

If you're a science fiction fan you should check these figures out. Take a look at the figures in detail. There are three things you'll find -great likenesses, tremendous paint detail, and unique packaging. Try looking at the paint detail on Zhaan's body, or the likeness of Chiana. Don't miss the boxed set, it's got a great backdrop that you can punch out and put behind the figures showing the interior of their ship Moya.
