October Toys brings Gwin Series 2, -- artist designed vinyl penguins -- to San Diego Comic-Con 2006 at Booth #4535.

July 7, 2006 -- October Toys will be debuting Gwin Series 2, their second line of designer vinyl penguins, at Comic-Con International at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego July 20th to 23rd. Series 2 features seven new Gwin designs by artists including El Maz, Voltaire, Alex Pardee, C. Spliedt, Charlotte Link, Kruse, and Christie.

Gwin Series 1 and 2 will be available for sale along with 2006 Special Edition Gwins by Voltaire and C. Spliedt, the new 13" MegaGwins, a number of custom Gwins, t-shirts featuring a new Gwin design by El Maz, and much more. Along with the Gwins, October Toys will be showcasing several upcoming projects and collaborations including plush, vinyl, and resin figures. Customers will also have a chance to win several one-of-a-kind prizes throughout the convention while supplies last.

"We've been really lucky to work with some great artists who have brought a new level of creativity to the Gwin format," commented George Gaspar, co-owner of October Toys.

Gwins are artist designed, vinyl penguins based on the Linux mascot, Tux, created by Larry Ewing and The GIMP. They sit approximately 2.5" high and artists of all skill levels are encouraged to try their hand at customizing them. Series 1 featured nine different designs by artists such as Doktor A, Mimic, Eric Treadaway, Nixon Scratches, idlechimp, and SpookyAMD.
