February 09, 2006 (SEATTLE) - WizKids Inc., the leader in the collectable gaming industry with HeroClix, MechWarrior: Age of Destruction, and Pirates of the Spanish Main, today announced their full 2006 release schedule for the HeroClix Collectable Miniatures Game (CMG)!

"There's some awesome stuff coming down the pipe for HeroClix," said Jordan Weisman, CEO of WizKids. "Players will be amazed at the selection of characters and the increase in quality of these sets." 2006's first release, DC HeroClix: Collateral Damage, is due to hit stores February 15th, 2006.

DC HeroClix fans will have many things to celebrate in 2006, including the Spectre convention-exclusive figure, the most massive HeroClix figure ever made, and the DC HeroClix Giants Collector's Set available in March. The DC HeroClix Green Lantern Corps Collector's Set is due to arrive in September, and includes a variety of non-human members of the illustrious Corps.

Fans will also get a booster release in June: Marvel HeroClix: Sinister, a set where the villains take center stage. Releasing at the same time is the Marvel HeroClix Danger Room Game, a stand-alone, diorama-format HeroClix game with updated rules and a variety of X-Men to bring new players into the HeroClix world. Another Marvel HeroClix release will debut in October of 2006.

June 30th marks the 2006 set retirement date. Sets retired from tournament play include DC HeroClix: Cosmic Justice, Marvel HeroClix: Universe, Marvel HeroClix: Critical Mass, and bystander tokens included in the DC and Marvel Map Packs.

Indy HeroClix players will get their first new set in almost a year with the release of the Image HeroClix: Invincible Collector's Set in August of 2006 a set theme chosen by HeroClix fans.
