JAKKS Pacific Signs Teletubbies

MALIBU, Calif. -- Oct. 26, 2005 -- JAKKS Pacific, Inc. announced today a licensing agreement with Ragdoll Ltd. to market and distribute multiple products for North American territories, based on the Teletubbies™ property. JAKKS Pacific® will develop plush and other toy products under the company's Child Guidance® division.

"This agreement seeks to further expand the Child Guidance preschool program at retail by aligning with Ragdoll and their top preschool brand," said Tamre Sutphen, senior vice president, marketing and sales, girls toys and activities, JAKKS Pacific, Inc. "Teletubbies is an exceptional property that is loved by many children and parents. We believe it is evergreen and a perfect match for JAKKS Pacific's strategy of aligning with licenses that have proven staying power."

"JAKKS Pacific has been successful at creating and managing children's brands, and developing thoughtful and innovative merchandising programs," said Andrew Kerr, senior vice president, global licensing and marketing, Ragdoll Ltd. "We look forward to working with JAKKS on their new Child Guidance preschool initiative, and trust that the Teletubbies brand, and the children who enjoy it so much, will benefit from our collaboration."

Teletubbies is geared towards children ages 3 years and under, and is broadcast daily on PBS KIDS. Teletubbies can be seen in 100% of the top 15 markets, and reaches 95% of US homes overall. JAKKS™ plans to launch the Child Guidance Teletubbies plush product line in 2006 at mass and specialty retailers.
