WizKids: Tsuro, The Game of the Path

October 12, 2005 (SEATTLE) - WizKids Inc., creator of the runaway hit games HeroClix® and Pirates of the Spanish Main™, is proud to announce the release of its first board game: Tsuro™, the game of the Path.

"Tsuro is an excellent strategic board game for family and friends," said Mike Samora, vice president of Sales and Marketing for WizKids®. "It was designed by a mathematician, and new players can learn to play in a couple of minutes. Games take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes to play."

In Tsuro, players build paths from tiles and attempt to keep their pieces on the board. The goal is to be the last player whose piece remains on the game board, while driving other players off the board. Described by one anonymous convention-goer as "a European board game with an American twist," Tsuro has been making splashes at conventions throughout the summer 2005 season.

Founded by 25-year game-industry veteran Jordan Weisman, WizKids is a Seattle-based game developer and publisher dedicated to creating tabletop games driven by imagination. Its MechWarrior® and HeroClix CMGs and Pirates and Rocketmen™ CSGs are among the most successful games on the market today, and the company has sold hundreds of millions of game pieces worldwide.
