AC COMICS LINE OF ACTION FIGURES/ FX SHOW CONNECTION

December 2004 - AC Comics goes into action in a big way in 2005 with the release of three action figures of popular Femforce Universe costumed characters. AC has reached substantial agreement with Cast-A-Way Toys of Kansas City to produce a select number of action figures for the collector's market. These toys are created in the Mego style of the 1970's and will appeal to those who collected those toys back then. The figures will be 8 inches tall with full articulation. They will actually wear a costume made of cloth which is applied over the plastic figure. Toys are planned for early 2005 release to the collector's market in general, but no price has been set at this time.

Cast-A-Way will create three LIMITED RUN figures with limited distribution at a premium price. These will be based on Golden-Age support characters: FIGHTING YANK, BLACK TERROR and MISS MASQUE. The design on FIGHTING YANK will be the redesigned version (by Bill Black) that appeared in AC's RETRO COMIC series and the FIGHTING YANK series. The BLACK TERROR costume will be the "X" mask version with white hair as seen in the AC comics line beginning with AMERICOMICS No. 2 back in 1983. Designs have not been made for MISS MASQUE at this time.

AC Comics has been contacted by MICHAEL HERZ, promotor for the 2005 FX Toy Show. Mike, a long time AC buddy and one of the few really nice guys in the galaxy, was thrilled to learn of the AC toy line. In fact he had planned a Mego styled figure promotion for his show. Contacting Cast-A-Way, Mike arranged for EXCLUSIVE AC ACTION FIGURES to be created and sold at the FX Show ONLY! Customized versions of FIGHTING YANK and BLACK TERROR are being manufactured now. If time allows, MISS MASQUE will be available also. The plan is to offer a limited run of only 100 of each character at the show. They will be sold during the 3 days of the show and at no time else. They will differ from the actual production run of the characters, which will be available later on in 2005. To view the exclusives as "works in progress", see pictures of the sculpted heads, etc., in the "News" section on the AC Comics web site at www.accomics.com. Pictures will be posted on the AC Comics website after Dec 10.
