Who Watches The Watchmen? DC Direct, That's Who.

 Next year is the 15th Anniversary of the classic DC Comics limited series The Watchmen. This critically-acclaimed dystopian look at the superhero genre, from the minds of writer Alan Moore and artist Dave Gibbons, has influenced super-hero comics for the last decade.RTM has learned, from very credible sources, that fans can look forward to Watchmen action figures from DC Direct next year as part of DC Comics anniversary celebration of the landmark series. Just which characters from the vast cast of the book will make it into plastic form isn't known. Will it be fan-favorite Rorschach? Dr. Manhatten? The Comedian? Night Owl? We'll just have to wait to hear official word from DC Direct on that. Rumors point to a mid-2001 release for these figures we'd never thought we'd see.
