DST: Pat Lee Busts, Statues

Pat Lee collectible print

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 23, 2004) Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles, LLC. (DST) has announced that the toy manufacturer is unleashing an exciting new line of collectible busts and statues based on original concepts from artist-extraordinaire Pat Lee and his publishing company, Dreamwave Productions, in 2005.

Besides being incredibly detailed, fully painted, and ready for display, the all-new releases will also be based on original concepts from the imagination of Dreamwave co-founder Lee, and will boast a Japanese hyper-punk feel to them.

"With his work on Darkminds and Transformers among his many other best-selling comics releases Pat has proven himself to be a premier talent," said Diamond Select Toys and Collectibles Sales and Marketing Coordinator Scott Braden. "Pat's amazing design sense and cutting-edge art style has made his work sought after by fans, and imitated by peers. Now, DST is proud to offer collectors the chance to own Pat's latest creations with our much-anticipated line of busts and statues. These high-end, three-dimensional products are collectibles that no true Dreamwave fan will want to miss owning!"

"This will be my very first line of busts and statues, and I'm looking forward to working with Diamond Select Toys on getting highly detailed, high-quality statues and busts out there," said Lee. "The line is called 'Rave: Cyber Punk,' and revolves around futuristic club girls who dance the night away at Rave clubs in Neo Tokyo. The statues will be a ton of fun to design, and I can't wait until they hit the stores!"

To celebrate this new collaboration, both DST and Dreamwave are offering attendees of the 2004 Comic-Con International: San Diego a limited-edition print on a first come, first served basis. Featuring a full-color illustration of one of the collectible line's first releases, "Rave," the highly collectible print is limited to 300 pieces, and is available at both the DST booth (Booth #2401) and the Dreamwave Productions' booth (Booth #3913).
