Pittsburgh, PA (February 4, 2004): Online retailer Time & Space Toys (www.timeandspacetoys.com) signed an agreement today with Diamond Select Toys / Moore Action Collectibles for exclusive rights to sell a limited edition collector�s set of three action figures, based on the long-running Twentieth Century FOX television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This deluxe boxed set is limited to 3000 pieces worldwide and will include three versions of fan�favorite Willow, Buffy's witchcraft-enabled best friend: Vampire Willow, Dark Witch Willow and White Witch Willow. These will be packaged in a "spellbook" to emphasize the character's background. Each action figure in this boxed set, although previously released and sold individually, will have specific variations from the original versions. The Vampire Willow will be painted with blood splattering, the Dark Witch Willow will have a green energy ball, and the White Witch Willow will have 12 points of articulation compared with 4 in the previous version.
Time & Space Toys will share the exclusive U.S. distribution of Willow's Spellbook with a brick and mortar retailer (Suncoast and Media Play stores), and thus be the only U.S. online retailer offering this set to the general public. Time & Space Toys president Kevin Kriess was attracted to the project since "it will allow fans to acquire three popular variant figures in one boxed set for a lower overall cost than if they were to be purchased separately." The Spellbook has a projected release date of May 2004.
