Horizons: Empire of Istaria Figures

The Winter CPL Event, Dallas, TX, December 18, 2003 Beware, here there be dragons! Highly detailed and articulated dragons, that is. Radioactive Clown, a toy company focused on setting the standard for video game action figures, announced details on a new line of collectible figures based on Horizons: Empire of Istaria, the award-winning, massively multiplayer on-line role playing game (MMORPG) by Artifact Entertainment. Series One will be available at toy and videogame retail outlets in Spring of 2004.

The first wave of Horizons: Empire of Istaria figures will be a selection of five characters from both the game's playable and non-playable characters. The initial offering will include an Ice Golem, a Withered Aegis, a male Fiend, a Human female and, of course, a young Dragon. Subsequent series are already in the works and will include all currently playable races.

"We're so excited to be making Horizons figures, we're practically glowing," said Radioactive Clown, the company founder and spokesperson. "As soon as I saw that Horizons allows you to play as a dragon, I was hooked. The game is rich in characters and already has a rabid fan base. It's no surprise it won a few 'best-of' awards at E3. Play the game and you'll know why."

While keeping mum on the specifics, Radioactive Clown and Artifact are promising something revolutionary that will link the action figures to actual game play and enhance the experience.

"The team at Artifact has been working extremely hard to bring a creative, next generation MMORPG to this growing genre," said Steve Escalante, Artifact Entertainment's Director of Marketing and Business Development. "Our philosophy is to extend this experience beyond the game our customers immerse themselves in. By partnering with Radioactive Clown, we have taken the first step to bring our team's work to life so our customers can enjoy their characters in and out of the game. And our unique plan in offering these figures could very well change how the sun rises and sets in our on-line universe."

For this project, Radioactive Clown has called on the expertise of Plan B Toys to help design the upcoming line of figures.
