Two Exclusive Willow Figures

TIMONIUM, MD (December 11, 2003) - ToyFare Magazine, in conjunction with Diamond Select Toys and Moore Action Collectibles, will be bringing Buffy The Vampire Slayer fans everywhere the figure they've been dying to get - Vampire Willow from the Season 3 episode "The Wish"! Anyone who wants to own this remarkable Buffy collectible needs to pick up a copy of ToyFare #79, on-sale January 14, 2004. In addition to the Vampire Willow figure, ToyFare will offer fans another rare Buffy figure in the same issue - Doppelgangland Willow!

"Vampire Willow and Doppelgangland Willow are two of the most requested Buffy figures in the history of our line," stated Clayburn Moore, President of Moore Action Collectibles, the company responsible for sculpting both figures. The two figures will be produced in a very limited quantity. The Vampire Willow will be available domestically only through the ToyFare offer, with the Doppelgangland Willow being a shared exclusive, available first through ToyFare and also through Previews.

Each figure will come with accessories and a base. The accessories are the same for both Vampire Willow and Doppelgangland: a whip, matchbox, and a pair of manacles. Any Buffy fan will know the significance of these items to the characters, and will surely be pleased. Vampire Willow comes with a blood-splattered wooden floor for the base, while the Doppelgangland Willow has a clean wooden floor base.

The release of these figures marks the return of Buffy action figures to the collector's market. Moore Action Collectibles previously manufactured these figures solely on their own and only recently teamed with Diamond Select to keep such a fan-favorite figure line going. "Working with ToyFare, the top toy consumer magazine, makes the return of the line that much stronger," states Andy Livingston, Marketing and Promotions Coordinator for Diamond Select Toys, "and it's great that they can offer their readers these fantastic figures." Future Buffy The Vampire Slayer figure releases from DST will include other versions of Willow, Anya and Tara, and will be available at comic book stores, Tower Records, Musicland and other fine specialty retailers.
