Dorbel Vinyl Figure

Dorbel Vinyl Figure

July 2003 - STRANGEco proudly announces Dorbel, an original rotocast figure designed by American artist Jim Woodring. Woodring is best known for the visionary alternative comic Frank, and more recently the Crazy Newts capsule toys by Sony Creative in Japan. This is Woodring's first toy produced by a US-based company.

As an homage to Japanese movie monsters, Dorbel bears a resemblance to the classic giant lizard but with trademark Woodring stylization. The figure stands seven inches tall, features six points of articulation, and will be limited to 1500 pieces across several colorways. The main Green edition carries a suggested retail price of US$39.95 and will be limited to fewer than 900 pieces (exact quantity TBA).

Other editions include a grayscale version sold exclusively through Super-7 Magazine Issue 3 (limited to 100 pieces), a full-color Brown Hong Kong version (limited to 250 pieces) and a special artist crossover colorway (details to be announced).

STRANGEco will premiere the figure at the San Diego Comic-Con, July 17th-20th, at booth #332. The Super-7 grayscale exclusive will be available for purchase, as will a limited quantity of the Hong Kong edition figures.
