Wild Planet Teams with Kodak

(SAN FRANCISCO, May 2003) - Wild Planet Toys is extending quality, convenience and savings to consumers this fall by packaging Kodak film and coupons inside its three new camera toys. Eastman Kodak Company was chosen as the exclusive film supplier to the toy manufacturer and will have 24 exposure, Kodak Max versatility 400 film included inside Wild Planet's Spy Gear™ brand Spy Wrist Cam™, Undercover Girl™ brand Secret Camera Journal™, and Off the Map™ brand Zoom Cam™.

In addition to packaging call-outs depicting the film on the front and back of each toy box, Wild Planet is labeling each unit with a full-color sticker announcing the inclusion of a coupon booklet offering $15 in savings on Kodak products and services.

"Releasing three radically different camera toys in one season called for a film partnership," said Wendy Park, senior brand manager for Wild Planet Toys. "Kodak was an obvious choice. With Kodak film in our products, Wild Planet receives established brand backing and the proof of performance that comes with the Kodak name. Consumers will see this as value added to the Wild Planet product lines, as they receive film in the package that they can use immediately without a separate purchase."

"Kodak is always looking for good branding association opportunities, and we are happy to be working with Wild Planet Toys," said Steve Mizelle, general manager for Kodak Commercial Business. "Wild Planet is a leader in quality, imaginative toys, and our relationship with them allows us to reach consumers through a channel we are looking to expand."

Wild Planet continues to increase savings for consumers by using split-frame technology in each of its three new camera products. This automatically doubles the number of exposures per roll, giving consumers 48 pictures from 24 exposure film, reducing the per-picture price of refill film and development.
