Tyco R/C Power Changers

tyco rc power changers

MT. LAUREL, N.J. -- Jan. 28, 2003 -- Mattel's Tyco R/C®, the leader in radio control, takes the hot micro category to a new level of play with the Power Changers(TM) system -- the unique micro R/C packaged in pairs to operate on land or water.

The newest additions to the Tyco R/C® "garage" are available now and already racing off store shelves.

Kids can charge 'em... change 'em... drive 'em! Unlike any others on the market, these full-function, four-inch long micros offer more play time with an exclusive rechargeable motor that kids can snap into each of the precision-scale vehicles and boats.

"As the leading innovator in radio control action for the past 18 years, the Tyco R/C® team is always putting a new twist on the category," says Woody Rosenbach, vice president of marketing of Tyco R/C®. "It's all about the quality of play and Power Changers(TM) adds a new dimension with the rechargeable, interchangeable motor and the unique ability to go on land or in the water."

For added fun, Power Changers(TM) accessory vehicles are also available. Kids can choose from the Turbo Hopper, Tank or Robot or collect them all! They all work with the fast-charging interchangeable motor included in the basic two-vehicle set.

Power Changers(TM), which will also be featured at the American International Toy Fair in February, retail for approximately $25 for the basic sets and operate on four AA batteries, plus one 9-volt battery for the transmitter. (Batteries not included.) The Power Changers(TM) accessory vehicles are available for $5 each.
