NEW YORK -- Jan. 8, 2003 -- 4Kids Entertainment has signed an agreement with the American Kennel Club (AKC) to serve as the organization's exclusive licensing representative in all categories of children's toys and QSR promotions.
One of the priorities of the 4Kids' licensing campaign will be the creation of a plush program encompassing all AKC pedigrees.
"A core objective of the AKC is to foster understanding of the different breeds and their unique characteristics to children and families," said Dennis Sprung, Vice President Planning and Development, American Kennel Club. "As a leading force in children and family licensing and entertainment, 4Kids Entertainment represents an ideal partner in helping our organization share an understanding of pedigree breeds to this important constituency. We are delighted to join with 4Kids in mounting this unprecedented effort to reach the country's children."
"We are delighted to reach agreement with this prestigious organization," said Al Kahn, Chairman and CEO of 4Kids Entertainment. "Through our licensing representation of the AKC, 4Kids looks forward to developing toy and QSR opportunities that will expand the message of pedigree education to children nationwide."
