Aztech Toyz Silent Screamers Figures Sneak Peek

silentscreamerslogo.jpg - 4879 Bytes

aztechlogonew.gif - 5163 BytesAs previously reported here, the newly formed Aztech Toyz has announced its first offering: Silent Screamers! And now we are proud to present a first sneak peek at the figures themselves. These are only head shots, done in the Art Asylum's own inimitable style. As you probably know by now, the Art Asylum did design work and some sculpting on the line.

Joining Art Asylum on the project is Staffen Linder of Swede Creations. Staffen sculpted the Graf Orlock and the Knock Renfield figures. The Graf Orlock was based on a model kit design previous created by Swede Creations and the Renfield sculpt was done from scratch based on Art Asylum designs.

graf_orlok_news.jpg - 6996 BytesThe figures will make their proper debut at Toy Fair 2000 where they will be on display at Aztech Toyz. Aztech has even more cool stuff planned for 2000, some of which won't be ready for Toy Fair but should be making the rounds shortly thereafter. We are sworn to secrecy, but let's just say that Aztech is "thinking outside the box" on this new project.

In related news, Aztech and Eternal Toys will be throwing a co-hosted party during Toy Fair week at the exclusive Giger Room in the notorious Limelight Club. The Limelight is owned by the enigmatic, eye-patch-wearing enterpreneur, Peter Gatien. Gatien began his career by bankrolling himself with the insurance settlement money from the hockey stick accident that cost him his eye. Gatien did a stint in jail on a number of charges but is now back at the helm of the Limelight, a club housed in a former Episcopal church and one of the trendy spots on the New York club kids scene. The Aztech/Eternal party promises to be nothing less than a freak show of epic proportions that will make a Felini movie look like the Teletubbies.

RTM got its invitations to the bash today and we wouldn't miss it for the world!

But back to the figures at hand, check out all the head shots for the first figures by clicking the link below. The four figure line will consist of Graf Orlok and Renfield from Nosferatu and Dr. Caligari and Casere from The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
