bbi: Two New WWII Pilot Figures

July 2002 - Action figure manufacturer bbi introduces the "Wings Over Europe" Collection to its line of historically accurate Elite Force World War II military collection. The Royal Airforce Fighter and the German Luftwaffe Fighter pilots are faithfully represented and reproduced with the same accuracy and attention to detail that hallmarks the entire bbi collection.
"Wings over Europe"
When the German Luftwaffe led the first air attacks against Britain it had nearly twice as many bombers and fighter planes than the Royal Airforce. The British, however, had a "new" technology developed before the war known as radar which allowed them to identify German bombers and intercept them with fighter planes. Unable to surprise Britain, the Germans sustained heavy losses and ultimately, the British won victory through the tenacity of its young and often novice pilots. bbi is pleased to offer two new figures based on "Wings over Europe."

German Luftwaffe Fighter Pilot
Just one look at this figure and you will see the determination in his eyes. Equipped with ammunition and accessories - right down to a map, this figure will conjure up images of the sleek Messerschmitt ME-109's and the brutish Focke Wulf FW-190's that were the backbone of the German fighter wings.
