Avengers Assembling In Stores Nationwide

  Toy Biz's action figures based on the animated Avengers series have hit stores in force over the past couple of weeks and fans hungering for new Marvel figures have been snapping them up.Toy Biz released the first two assortments virtually simultaneously. Assortment 1 contains Wonder Man, Tigra, Hawkeye, The Falcon and Kang. Assortment 2 has Captain America, The Wasp, The Vision, Ant-Man and Ultron. More Avengers figures are expected to be shown at Toy Fair. We thought you would like a look at the animated Captain America figure. Cap uses the body from the Spider-Man Electro Spark assortment of a few years back complete with a new head, and an official Avengers team belt buckle. A magnet embedded in his shield activates an exploding action on the robotic accessory included with the figure. In other animated Avengers new, Fox Kids will be rerunning episodes of the series twice a day all next week leading up to a new episode to air on Saturday, January 22nd featuring Iron Man. The episode that featured Cap, "Command Decision", will air Friday, January 21st at 3pm. [Updated 1-14-2000]
