May 12, 2002 - RTM owes another hearty thanks to reader Jim P, who attended the Wizard World East convention this weekend in Philadelphia and has allowed us to post these images of DC Direct items. (Also on display were the Superboy & Supergirl 2-pack and several DC maquettes.)
Jim spoke to the people in the DC Direct booth at the show and learned that the Legion action figures shown below will be available in January 2003, and that there "is still a surprise for December to be announced later this summer."
Jim asked specifically about an action figure of Firestorm and learned that he "is still on the shelf but does not have a projected date through 2003."
Another question Jim asked was about DC Direct Batman action figures, but DC could not say anything about that possibility.
Further DC news that Jim was able to learn:
- "PVC sets are being re-evaluated because of sales."
- "Plans are still to produce EVERY character thru the Pocket Heroes Line."
