Mattel CEO to Open PlayTIME Investor Conference


EL SEGUNDO, Calif., Nov. 1 -- Robert A. Eckert, Mattel's chairman and chief executive officer, will be the opening speaker during Gerard Klauer Mattison's PlayTIME Investor Conference 2001 on Wednesday, November 7, 2001 in New York. Eckert's 35-minute presentation will begin at 8:45 a.m. (Eastern time).

Eckert's portion of the daylong event will be webcast live on the Investor and Media section of www.mattel.com. To listen to the presentation, logon to the website at least 15 minutes early to register, download and install any necessary audio software. An archive of the presentation may be accessed beginning two hours after the completion of the live presentation. No other segments of the conference will be webcast on the Mattel Web site.
