Mattel's Holiday Top 10 for Boys


Mattel, Inc. has compiled their Top Ten List of their "Boys, Entertainment and Games" products for the Holiday 2001 season. Watch the RTM Spotlight in coming weeks for more details about most of these toys!

  1. Roarin' Snorin' Norbert - Harry Potter's favorite baby dragon, Roarin' Snorin' Norbert, is truly a kids ultimate pet dragon. He "comes to life" with realistic real-life movement as he moves his head from side-to-side and opens and closes his mouth and eyes. When baby Norbert is sleeping, kids can wake him up by their gentle touch to feed him as he nibbles on their finger, or make him laugh with hilarious roarin' laughter. Kids will love petting his unique plush "skin" which is printed with a pattern that looks like real dragon scales. But they better watch out, and not get too close - when Norbert sneezes, it looks as if he is breathing fire.

  2. Harry's Levitating Challenge - One of the most important skilss the first year students at Hogwarts have to learn is levitation. Now Harry's Levitating Challenge actually lets kids demonstrate, practice and refine their wizardry skills. The object of the game is to guide a ball through a series of obstacles on a platform. All kids have to do is turn the levitating control and push the throttle to determine the height and direction of the ball. A unique air system enables the ball to magically levitate while traveling around the platform. The wizard instructor will give kids words of encouragement, time them, and tell them just exactly how good a wizard they really are. There are 10 different interchangeable obstacles with different levels of difficulty to create more than 200 different course combinations.
