Gormiti Animated Series to Premier on Cartoon Network

COSTA MESA, CA (September 24, 2009) The Gormiti phenomenon continues to grow in the U.S. with the announcement today that the animated television series will premiere on Cartoon Network on October 5, 2009. The series, produced by Marathon Media, follows a group of kids that magically transform into powerful Gormiti when they are transported from their sleepy hometown of Venture Falls into the heart of the battle raging between warring tribes on the "Island of Gorm." The future of "Gorm" - and earth - hang in the balance.

Playmates Toys and Giochi Preziosi will unveil an all new line up of collectible Gormiti figures and accessories at the Fall Toy Preview® beginning October 6, 2009 in Dallas. Globally, Gormiti sales have topped $250 million and more than 100 million action figures have been sold to date. Gormiti is the story of a never ending battle on the "Island of Gorm" between vast armies inspired by the elemental forces of nature.
