New Reduced Prices On WB's Batman Videos

Burbank, CA --March 9, 2001-- "UnXpected Changes" and "Xplosive Days" -- two animated adventures from X-Men: Evolution, the hottest new television show on the Kids WB! -- will be available on home video for the first time ever on May 1 ($12.95 SRP), leading the Second Family Wave of Warner Home Video's (WHV) year-long spotlight catalog promotion.

The first time re-pricing of the critically acclaimed "The Iron Giant" ($14.95 SRP) -- which has sold more than 3 million home video copies to date -- and newly reduced prices on a wide range of Batman and Batman Beyond videos lend super strength to this exciting Superheroes consumer promotion.

UnXpected Changes and Xplosive Days each contain three episodes of the hit Kids WB! show X-Men: Evolution chronicling the adventures of a group of young adolescent mutants as they develop superhuman powers and struggle to master them while battling the forces of evil.

Called "the best animated film of the last decade,'' (a) The Iron Giant is re-priced to $14.95 SRP. This story of a boy and his very special robot pal, a metal-munching giant with a heart and a conscience, is filled with imaginative characters and great, action-packed adventure.

Batman fans can complete their collections with the award-winning, feature-length, exclusive-to-video Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker for just $19.96 SRP. With a new, sophisticated style of animation, this futuristic adventure begins when Bruce Wayne is almost killed by the Clown Prince of Crime, and the young Terry McGinnis dons the high-tech Batman suit to protect the Gotham City of the future.

Four other classic, animated Batman titles will also be included in the Superheroes Wave at the newly reduced price of $14.93 SRP: Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman & Mr. Freeze: Subzero, Batman Beyond: The Movie and The Batman Superman Movie.

Rounding out the offerings are five titles from the Batman Beyond television series that are being reduced to $9.95 SRP and the four, live-action feature films Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman & Robin priced at $9.94 SRP.

Warner Bros. Family Entertainment is thrilled to offer fans two X-Men: Evolution titles, available for the first time on home video,'' said Ewa Martinoff, WHV vice president, Family Entertainment Marketing. "In addition, families can expand their home video libraries with The Iron Giant and a selection of Batman and Batman Beyond titles, many at new, low prices."

Consumer Values With Each Video Purchased What's In Your Spotlight?'' Sweepstakes: With every video purchased, Warner Home Video provides consumers with a chance to instantly win a trip for two to a Warner Bros. movie premiere in either Hollywood or New York City, a DVD player, free videos and free boxes of Act II Microwave Popcorn.
