June 2008 - The LEGO online store is now taking pre-orders for a Star Wars Death Star playset which includes 25 LEGO mini-figures.

This version of the Death Star is an actual playset, with several different scenes available for play (or display), rather than just being a cool huge display piece, as was the previous LEGO Death Star set (set #10143). One of the scenes is the trash compactor, including a Dianoga. The hangar bay includes a TIE Advanced fighter. The scenes are from Episode IV and Episode VI.

The set has several new minifigures available only in this set:

• Han Solo (Stormtrooper outfit)
• Assassin Droid
• Interrogation Droid
• Death Star Droid
• 2 Death Star Troopers

The price tag on this Death Star is a hefty $399.99, with an estimated shipping date of September 16, 2008.
