The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Series 02

Created by Joshua Izzo.

Recipes

Annie Oakley
The finest sharp shooting woman in the old west, Annie Oakley is a force to be reckoned with. She could shoot out the center of a buffalo nickel from 100 yards away while looking in a mirror and shooting backwards over her shoulder! The Annie Oakley figure was created from a Toy Biz X-Men Movie 01 Jean Grey head and Toy Biz Lord of the Rings Eowyn hair. Her torso is from a Diamond Select/Moore Creations Willow figure, her skirt is from an Accoutrement's Annie Oakley figure and her legs and boots are from a Toy Biz Lord of the Rings King of the Undead. Her gun was from the NECA "Christmas Story" Ralphie figure.

Mr. Hyde
The first of the re-released figures, this is the bestial and carnal side of Dr. Edward Jekyll. Kevin O'Neill drew Hyde as a hulking brute with an upper torso to make the Hulk jealous, but with normally proportioned lower legs. This proved to be quite the problem when choosing the recipe. I ending up creating Hyde out of a DC Direct Solomon Grundy torso and arms, heavily modified with Kneadatite and vinyl, Toy Biz Hulk Classics Mr. Fixit Gloves and overcoat, NECA's 'Christmas Story' Old Man legs and feet and a Toy Biz Hulk Movie Head with Kneadatite fixes. The accessories are all cobbled together from the parts boxes, and his necktie, collar and other bits and pieces were created from cut vinyl. A satisfying experience, and a healthy addition to my League of Extraordinary Gentleman customs.

Jack the Ripper
The second of the re-releases, DC Direct decided it was time to add a villain to the ranks of the LXG collection. Using a McFarlane Candyman's legs, McFarlane Jack the Ripper torso (heavily modified) and DCD Direct Uncle Sam top hat I was able to reconstruct a more historically accurate Jack. I also used some clear vinyl for his waistcoat and Kneadatite for his hair and moustache. I'm now happy with my Victorian gentleman killer.

Spring-Heeled Jack
The third re-release figure, this was crafted using a Toy Biz Marvel Legends Namor face, a Toy Biz X-Men 2 Movie Nightcrawler for the rest of the head and Magic Sculpt to bond them together. Adding some Kneadatite and Magic Sculpt hair and facial hair for good measure. He uses a Toy Biz X-Men 2 Movie Nightcrawler torso and arms, a Toy Biz X-Men 2 Movie Magneto for his boots and legs and a Toy Biz Lord of The Rings character for his gauntlets. A Diamond Select Battle of the Planets Zoltar lends his cape for dramatic effect. The 'skirt' was cut vinyl as is the belt. His belt buckle is from a Toy Biz Spider-Man Classics Hobgoblin.

Paul Bunyan and babe the Blue Ox
The legendary lumberjack who was ten times larger than the tallest man and his massive blue ox have been brought to life in 3-Dimensions for this newest wave of LXG figures. Paul Bunyan began life as a Mezco Gangsters, Inc. O'Brien figure. His face is from a 12" Hasbro G.I. Joe figure with Kneadatite hair and beard. The sculptural details arte crafted from vinyl and Magic Sculpt. Paul Bunyan's best pal Babe the Blue Ox is a digital custom using a large plastic bull toy that had been colored blue in Adobe Photoshop.
