Raving Toy Maniac & CustomCon 10 Present

Following the success of the New Teen Titans line (which debuted at the Spring 2001 CustomCon), the guys at Chip'd n' Stone Customs had on display the second wave of a new line of figures based on the original Teen Titans comics from the sixties and seventies. The second wave, you ask? The first wave (pictured at the bottom) consists of four figures previously seen in the New Teen Titans line (Robin, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash and Speedy), but those are old news at this CustomCon. The big story this time around is the second wave of figures, featuring Hawk, Dove, Lilith and Harlequin. These four figures commemorate in plastic a groovy time in comics history, one of peace-niks, war-mongering, mini-skirts and all-out madness.

Lilith Clay, the Titans resident psychic, is shown in the classic green sweater and mini-skirt she wore during the early days of the series.

Hawk and Dove, two very different personalities who gained powers from a mysterious voice, may be sold as a two-pack later on.

The Harlequin, formerly known as the Joker's Daughter (even though she was Two-Face's daughter... don't ask), is featured in her psychedelic second costume.

Finally, the guys at Chip'd n' Stone customs had at their booth this display picture which shows both the wave one and wave two figures together.
